Equipment Options

  • Electronic/digital scales that measure to the nearest 0.05kg
  • Pen and paper to record results
  • Assistant/Training partner (recommended)
  • Minimal clothing (optional)


Place scales firmly on a hard level surface or floor. The Rookie Me athlete should be in minimal clothing, such as their underwear. Shoes and socks should also be removed before stepping on the scales.

The scales should have a reading of 0.0kg before the player weighs themselves. The Rookie Me athlete should not be supported by any person or object. When standing on the scales the Rookie Me athlete should share their weight distribution between both feet evenly. The Rookie Me athlete is required to hold their head up and look straight ahead. Once the scales have registered the athlete’s weight, it will stabilize on the measurement and that result should be recorded.

Rookie Me Enter Score

The Rookie Me enter score will be the body mass measurement of the athlete’s current weight and is to be recorded into the Athlete Profile in kilograms.
